The Law is an unbearable yoke (Acts 15:10)
VS. Jesus said His yoke is easy, free and light. He invites you to learn the unforced rhythms of Grace (Matt 11:28-30 Msg) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Law reveals sin, but cannot fix it (Rom 3:20) VS. Grace abounds to reign over sin through righteousness (Rom 5:20-21) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If the Law worked, then faith would be irrelevant (Rom 4:14) VS. It is of faith so that Grace operates to make every promise sure (Rom 4:16) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Law brings wrath upon those who follow it (Rom 4:15) VS. Grace brings blessing (Acts 20:32, 2 Cor 9:8) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The purpose of the Law was to increase sin (Rom 5:20) VS. The purpose of Grace is to remove sin and bring life (Rom 5:20, 21) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We are not under the Law (Rom 6:14) VS. We are under Grace (Rom 6:14) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We have been delivered from the Law (Romans 7:1-6) VS. We have been delivered from darkness and translated into the Kingdom of God's Son (Col 1:13) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Law, which promises life, only brings death through sin (Rom 7:10) VS. Grace reigns through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ (Rom 5:21) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Law is weak (Rom 8:2-3) VS. Grace is the strength of God (2 Cor 12:9) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The strength of sin is the Law (1 Cor 15:56) VS. The strength of righteousness is Grace (Gal 2:21) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Law is a ministry of death (2 Cor 3:7) VS. Grace is the ministry of life (2 Cor 5:17-21, Heb 8:6) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Law is a ministry of condemnation (2 Cor 3:9) VS. In Grace, there is no more condemnation (Rom 8:1-2) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Law has no glory at all in comparison with the New Covenant (2 Cor 3:10) VS. Glory's eternal fullness is found in God's Grace (John 1:14, Ps 84:11, Eph 1:6) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Law is fading away because it has become obsolete (2 Cor 3:11, Heb 8:13 Amp) VS. Grace is eternal (Eph 2:7) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Anywhere the Law is preached, it produces a mind-hardening and a heart-hardening veil (2 Cor 3:14-15) VS. Grace softens hearts and make them responsive to God (Ez 11:19 AMPC, Heb 8:9-11, Heb 13:9, Col 3:16) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We are dead to the Law (Gal 2:19) VS. We are made alive unto righteousness by Grace (Titus 3:7) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Law frustrates Grace (Gal 2:21) VS. Grace obtains what we need (Heb 4:16) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To go back to the Law is foolishness (Gal 3:1) VS. Grace causes wisdom to abound to us (Eph 1:6-9) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Law curses all who practice it and fail to do it perfectly (Gal 3:10) VS. Grace only blesses (John 1:16 Amp) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Law has nothing to do with faith (Gal 3:11-12) VS. Grace and faith work together (Rom 4:16, Rom 5:2) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Law was a curse from which Christ redeemed us . The Law is not the blessing of Abraham; Deut 28 contains the blessings and curses OF THE LAW. Jesus redeemed us from every curse attached to the Law. (Gal 3:13, Josh 8:34) VS. Grace is not attached to any curse. Grace brings the fullness of every blessing. (Gal 3:14, 2 Cor 1:20) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If the Law worked, God would have used it to save us (Gal 3:21) VS. We are saved by Grace (Eph 2:8) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Law held us in bondage (Gal 3:23, Gal 4:21-25) VS. Grace is our freedom (Gal 4:26-31, Gal 5:1) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Christ has abolished the Law, which was the wall of hostility (Eph 2:15) VS. By His blood we are made nigh unto God according to the riches of His Grace (Eph 2:14, Eph 1:7) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Law is weak, useless and makes nothing perfect (Heb 7:18-19) VS. Grace is your perfection (2 Cor 12:9, Heb 10:14) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Law is obsolete, growing old and ready to vanish (Hebrews 8:13) VS. Grace is eternal and filled with life (Rom 5:21, Eph 2:7) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Law is only a shadow of good things to come and will never make anyone perfect (Heb 10:1) VS. Grace removes all shadows and brings you into the light of life that shines in the face of Jesus, who is your perfection (2 Cor 4:6, Heb 10:14) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ VS. means as compared to or as one of two choices; in contrast with. God has set before us life and death, Grace and Law -- it seems that Grace wins hands down. Choose life. Choose Grace.
